He started a hospitalist role at Duke Raleigh Hospital in North Carolina, and plans to pursue a mixed primary care and hospitalist role. He completed medical training at Augusta University at the University of Georgia (formerly Medical College of Georgia) and joined in 2018 at UMass for internal medicine-pediatrics training. Thereafter, he worked in the supply chain industry for 4 years optimizing and developing solutions for warehouses. He is now an Adult Gastroenterology fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, as on an NIH T32 track, where he will see patients (in both Pediatrics and Adult GI), have dedicated time to do research, and hopes to ultimately treat and research IBD across the ages.Īrjun attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. An MD/PhD, he was determined to continue doing research while seeing patients, which he was able to do through "the multitude of elective opportunities the program gave me." Despite being a California native, he survived the winters of the East Coast and loved every minute of it.
